What We Do
At ERUMS Helping Hand, our mission is to alleviate poverty and improve the lives of vulnerable communities in Sindh, Pakistan. We are committed to providing essential support to those in desperate need, focusing on sustainable solutions that offer dignity, hope, and long-term impact.
One of our key initiatives is providing shelter for families affected by natural disasters, particularly during devastating floods. We offer temporary relief through emergency tents, ensuring immediate protection from harsh conditions. For those in extreme need, we go a step further by constructing permanent homes, offering a stable and secure environment where families can begin to rebuild their lives.
To combat hunger, we distribute monthly food packs to over 300 families, ensuring they have access to nutritious, life-sustaining supplies. Recognising the importance of clean water, we have successfully built over 100 water wells and hand pumps in remote areas of Sindh, providing safe drinking water to countless communities.
Our commitment to economic empowerment is reflected in initiatives such as providing over 20 rickshaws to families, enabling them to generate income and achieve financial independence. We’ve also trained over 200 girls in sewing, supplying them with sewing machines to foster self-reliance and create sustainable livelihoods.
Additionally, we’ve distributed over 4,000 kg of donated clothing—generously provided by the communities of Derby, Leicester, and Bradford—directly to women and children in Sindh. This hands on approach, together with a 100% donation policy, ensures that every £1 in donation reaches those who need it most.
Through these efforts, ERUMS Helping Hand continues to transform lives, promote self-sufficiency, and offer hope to communities facing unimaginable challenges.
